De Wassenaarse vereniging van amateur beeldende kunstenaars Ars et Studium viert haar negende lustrum met een spetterende tentoonstelling in Raadhuis De Paauw. Opgericht op 28 mei 1973 door een bescheiden groep amateur kunstenaars in ons dorp, is de vereniging na 45 jaar sterker en levendiger dan ooit. De meer dan 100 leden, jong en oud, willen graag dat heel Wassenaar e.o. naar hun jubileumtentoonstelling komt kijken om te zien waarom ze nu zo enthousiast zijn over het maken van kunst in al haar facetten. De kunstwerken – aquarellen, schilderijen in olie en acryl, etsen, keramiek, glas en driedimensionale objecten – zijn speciaal voor deze feestelijke tentoonstelling gemaakt, met als thema ‘Natuurlijk Wassenaar’. De tentoonstelling in De Paauw wordt geopend op dinsdag 8 mei om 16:00 door Wierd Wagenmakers, beeldend kunstenaar en viertig jaar studiebegeleider bij Ars et Studium! Jullie zijn van harte welkom om deze feestelijke opening bij te wonen. De tentoonstelling is verder geopend van 10 mei t/m 1 juni 2018 van donderdag t/m zondag, 12:00-16:00, toegang gratis.
Art society celebrates 45th anniversary with exhibition in De Paauw
The Wassenaar society of amateur artists, Ars et Studium, is celebrating its 45th anniversary with an exciting exhibition in Raadhuis De Paauw , Raadhuislaan 22 in Wassenaar. The society was founded on 28 May 1973 by a small but enthusiastic group of amateur artists, and now, 45 years later, it is stronger and livelier than ever before. The 100+ members, young and old, are keen for everyone in Wassenaar and beyond to see just why they are so enthusiastic about creating art in all its many forms. The works ¬– ranging from watercolours, oil and acrylic paintings and etchings, to ceramics, glass and three-dimensional objects – have been made specially for this festive exhibition, with the them ‘Naturally Wassenaar”. The exhibition will be opened by Wierd Wagenmakers, artist and teacher at Ars et Studium for forty years! The festive opening in De Paauw will take place on Tuesday 8 May at 4 p.m. and you are warmly invited to attend. The exhibition is open from 10 May to 1 June, Thursday to Sunday, from 12 noon to 4 p.m.
